JEE Main 2027 Session 1: Fresh Forms Allowed Under NTA Conditions
NTA has opened a fresh application option for JEE Main 2027 Session 1 for candidates who already generated an application number or paid the fee. Complete the new form and payment by November 22, 2026, or use the late-fee window.
What has changed
Candidates who already started a JEE Main 2027 Session 1 application can submit a fresh form in the conditions mentioned by NTA. A new application number will be issued for every fresh submission.
The fresh form is not needed for candidates who only want to change selected details. NTA has asked such candidates to use the correction facility when it opens.
Which application will count
The valid application will be the latest form that has both successful examination-fee payment and a generated Confirmation Page. If a fresh form is submitted without completing these steps, the earlier completed form will continue to be valid.
Candidates must enter and upload all required information again in the new form. This includes the photograph, signature and documents.
Important deadlines
Fresh applications, including fee payment, can be completed until 11:50 P.M. on November 22, 2026. NTA has also provided a late-fee period from November 23, 2026 to November 26, 2026, with the same closing time.
The correction window is scheduled from November 27 to November 29, 2026. Candidates should choose this option if they only need to amend details in an existing application.
Rules for multiple applications
Submitting more than one application number does not give a candidate more than one chance to appear in the same session. Appearing, or attempting to appear, with more than one application number will be treated as Unfair Means under the Information Bulletin.
Simply having multiple application numbers, without appearing through them, will not be treated as Unfair Means. Candidates should therefore use only the application number linked to the form they intend to complete and use.
What you should do now
- Check whether the earlier form has successful fee payment and a generated Confirmation Page.
- Submit a fresh application only if it is necessary under the conditions stated by NTA.
- Enter and upload the photograph, signature and documents again in the fresh form.
- Complete the fee payment within the regular or late-fee deadline.
- Use the correction window instead of a fresh form if only selected details need to be changed.
Questions students ask
Who can submit a fresh JEE Main 2027 Session 1 form?
Candidates who have already generated an application number or paid the examination fee can submit a fresh form, subject to the conditions stated by NTA.
Which JEE Main application will remain valid?
The latest form with completed fee payment and a generated Confirmation Page will be considered valid. An earlier form remains valid if the fresh submission does not complete both steps.
Do I need to upload my documents again in a fresh form?
Yes. A fresh application receives a new application number, and the photograph, signature and documents must be entered or uploaded again.
Can I use more than one application number to appear in Session 1?
No. Appearing or attempting to appear with more than one application number will be treated as Unfair Means. Holding multiple numbers alone will not be treated that way.
When can I correct details instead of submitting a fresh form?
The correction window is scheduled to open on November 27 and close on November 29, 2026. Candidates who only need to amend details should use that facility.
