What has changed for candidates

The Staff Selection Commission has released the result for the Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces and SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2026. Candidates can check the result through the official website and look for their roll numbers in the result PDFs.

The computer-based examination was held from April 27 to May 30, 2026. A total of 21,56,776 candidates appeared for this stage.

Who can appear for PET/PST

Candidates who have qualified in the written examination are eligible for the Physical Efficiency Test and Physical Standard Test. The CAPFs will conduct PET/PST, while call letters will be issued by the Nodal CAPF, which is the CRPF.

The schedule for PET/PST will be communicated through the call letters issued to candidates selected for the next stage. Candidates should keep checking the official website for further updates.

What was in the computer-based examination

The computer-based examination had one objective paper with 80 questions. Each question carried 2 marks. The paper covered General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, and English or Hindi.

The examination used objective multiple-choice questions. A negative marking of 0.25 marks applied for every wrong answer. The Commission has also stated that scores will not be re-evaluated or re-checked.

The Commission will make the final answer keys, question papers with response sheets, and marks of qualified and non-qualified candidates available through the official website in due course.

The recruitment drive is for 25,487 posts. Candidates who find their roll numbers in the result should wait for their PET/PST call letter and follow the instructions issued by the Nodal CAPF.
