WB Board Exam 2027 Date Sheet: Proposed March 2 to 16 Schedule

The WB Board Exam 2027 timetable for Class 10 and 12 is expected next week. A revised proposal may move the exams to March 2-16 because of the population census.

What has changed

The West Bengal government is expected to release the Madhyamik and Higher Secondary examination timetable next week. Students should check the official board websites when the schedule is published.

The examinations were earlier scheduled for February 15 to 25. A revised schedule sent to the state education department proposes exams from March 2 to 16. The change has been linked to the ongoing population census, so the March dates are not final yet.

What will the exam timings be

Under the proposed plan, the main examinations would run from 10.45 am to 2 pm. Students would get 15 minutes to read the question paper, with answer writing beginning at 11 am.

The proposed timings vary for some subjects. Sewing and Needlecraft would be held from 10.45 am to 3 pm. Music, Vocal, and Instrumental papers would run from 10.45 am to 1 pm, while Computer Application would be scheduled from 10.45 am to 1.30 pm. Vocational subjects would be held from 10.45 am to 12.30 pm.

What students should check in the final timetable

The final date sheet is expected to include examination dates, timings, practical examination information and instructions for candidates. It will cover both Class 10 Madhyamik and Class 12 Higher Secondary examinations.

The First Language paper may include Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Modern Tibetan, Nepali, Odia, Gurumukhi (Punjabi), Telugu, Tamil, Urdu and Santali. For the Second Language paper, students take English when another language is their First Language, or Bengali or Nepali when English is their First Language.
