Self-attest questions

What does self-attested mean?

It means you sign a copy of your own document to confirm it is a true copy of the original. Usually you write Self Attested, sign, and add your name and date.

Is a digitally self-attested PDF accepted?

Many online forms accept a scanned or PDF copy with your signature. Always follow the notice: some offices still want a copy signed by hand with a pen.

Where is the attestation placed?

At the bottom-right of every page. If it covers something, drag it to an empty spot or make it smaller before saving.

Can I use a photo of my real signature?

Yes. Sign on plain white paper, take a clear photo and upload it in the signature box. The paper background is removed so only the ink is placed.

Is my signature stored anywhere?

No. It stays in your browser and is forgotten when you close the page.
