Where the password usually comes from
Official documents explain their password format in the email or on the download page. Check that first.
| Document | Where to find the password format |
|---|---|
| e-Aadhaar | Explained on the UIDAI download page, usually part of your name with your birth year |
| Bank statement | Mentioned in the statement email, often based on name, date of birth or customer ID |
| e-PAN | Given in the email from the income tax department, commonly your date of birth |
| Salary slip | Set by your employer or payroll app, ask HR if it is not in the email |
Unlock PDF questions
Do I need to know the password?
Yes. You type the current password once and the tool saves a copy without it. It cannot guess, crack or bypass passwords you do not know.
Why remove the password before uploading?
Online application portals cannot open protected PDFs, so they reject the upload or show a blank file. The unlocked copy uploads normally.
My PDF opens without a password but will not print. Can this help?
Yes. Some PDFs block printing, copying or editing. Upload it and press Unlock PDF; no password is needed and the copy has no restrictions.
The tool says the password is wrong.
Passwords are case-sensitive. Check the email that came with the file for the exact format, for example capital letters for the name part.
Is it safe to unlock my Aadhaar or bank statement here?
Yes. The file and the password stay in your browser. Nothing is uploaded or stored by ResultMonkey.
